Derrick Bateman wrote on his Twitter today that he's going to Birmingham, Alabama to have knee surgery today. That might explain why he was eliminated from NXT when he was the front-runner in a lot of people's eyes.
Derrick Bateman underwent successful knee surgery today. I am told it was a minor issue that needed to be taken care of and he'll be cleared to return to the ring in 2-4 weeks as long as everything heals correctly.
