John Cena issued the following comments about The Rock on Twitter yesterday:

"CeNation. Watched rocks interview back just to make sure. I never ran my mouth about rock. He refers to an article published in the uk sun in 2008. Please..read it. Then u decide. Ill be at wwe live events this week in baton rouge, alexandria, college station. And I will come to raw for bizzness. Final knockout this monday on raw. HUSTLE. LOYALTY. RESPECT."

Regarding the 2008 interview with The Sun, here are Cena's comments from that interview:

The Sun: What about The Rock? What are your thoughts on The Rock?

Cena: This is my take on The Rock, and he's a genuinely nice guy. I've met him; he's a fantastic human being. What I kind of get peeved about, and I guess this is my flaw, my Achilles heel, I hear it every day with young talent, with midcard talent, with people aspiring to make it in this business; I hear "I've wanted to do this my whole life."

Rock falls into that category. He, at one point, loved wrestling and wanted to do this all of his life. Explain to me why he can't come back for a 15th Anniversary show or why he can't make an appearance at Wrestlemania. Simply put it's because he wants to be an actor. There's nothing wrong with that, there's nothing wrong with that. He's a very good actor, he's very successful, he's done very well for himself and associating with sports entertainment doesn't do much for his acting career. It only helps out the sports entertainment audience so I get why he doesn't come back.

Just don't f*** me around and tell me that you love this when you are just doing this to do something else. That's the only thing that gets me really pissed off.

The Sun: To come out to the ring, as a surprise, cut a promo, go back.

Cena: It'd be fantastic. The people would go nuts, and that's the thing, he has so much admiration from our audience. One thing I've learned from being a wrestler, or being on the other side of the barricade and being a fan, you almost don't realise it as a fan because you are a fan so much, you just go to everything. Being on the other side I learned how much of their hard earned dollars are spent on our product. And to have that much admiration still, when he hasn't been around, hasn't been on TV, you gotta respect that from our fanbase and he just doesn't give anything back, man. I wish he'd just show up, just say "Hi" and leave, it's all he's gotta do. Do the eyebrow once and get out of town. That's one thing that sweats me.

But like I said, he is a great guy, but we all know now that he wants to be an actor. There's nothing wrong with that because he's truly found another passion. He's good at acting, his films make money.

Travis thanks for the article. Interesting stuff. But the title is wrong. He's looking for "bizzness". :)

*steps up to the plate*

AHEM.....I hate Cena, I really do, I think his finisher is lame version of a suplex much like Hogans silly legdrop (both of which doesnt really seem like a move that would knock out anyone more annoy the recipient than anything else) and if anyone else did it well see last bracketed statement and the *You cant see me" sthick is childish lol

*steps off the plate*

But it doesn't make him wrong or that I dont agree with his article statements lol

It is lame hearing how people say they wanted to do this their whole life and aren't doing / trying to do it / giving one bit of effort to do / thrown away the oppotunity to do what they claim.

Prime example is 99% of people on American Idol who claim the same thing "I always wanted to be a singer.....huh? oh Im a programmer/p.e teacher/friggin banana salesman at the moment....er ah no I've never sung in front of people before" (um not that I watch the show..er...I was flippin channels to something manly and bad-ass...er.....and stumbled across it....er).

ANYWAYS, back to the point, Cena said it was his flaw/niggle/pet peeve and I can agree with that, he was asked his opinion and he gave it pure and simple. Now if Rocky doesnt like being called out for the fact that he DID walk away from the industry which was his right, dont expect EVERY DAMNED PERSON to like that decision of walking away, just be happy with the ones that welcome him back with opened arms.

So to sum up lol....everyone has a right to their opinions if you dont like it ....*puts on a D-X tshirt*..then I got two words for ya.....SUCK IT! lmao

The Rock didn't want to become a Stone Cold or a Hulk Hogan where yeah, they are two huge names, but they come around so often that it's like... yeah he's here again.. so what? The Rock makes himself so rare in the wrestling world that it's a huge fucking deal when he comes around. If Austin or Hogan were to be the host of wrestlmania would it have been so big? I doubt it.

Agreed

& to quote The Rock on Raw he did all he could do in Wrestling so he went out & did something else he wanted to do & ended up having the same passion for as he did for Wrestling & people hate him for it please at least he's not in our face every week on Raw like Cena is & he wonders why he gets booded

This entire statement is running his mouth about the rock so i don't see how he thinks that he didn't.

People can't change? One decade he wants to be a wrestler and another he wants to be an actor... is that such a hard concept to wrap your mind around? It was none of Cena's business what the Rock does or wants to do. He should have said that the Rock was a genuinely nice guy and wishes him all the best and left it at that. Rewriting history saying he never ran his mouth off about the Rock just makes him look like a bigger fool than his suburb gangsta persona does.

Meh, they're both right.

Cena was asked his opinion and he gave it. Nothing wrong with that. People have to learn to distinguish between "talking shit" and "giving an opinion". Cena was doing the later, not the former. Just because you might not agree with him doesn't mean he's "talking shit".

As for Rock, yeah he did bail out of wrestling after having done all he wanted to do. Nothing wrong with that either. We're free to do what we please and if doing the Hollywood thing gets him off, good for him and more power to him.
