Jessica Simpson revealed how she ended up with a trout pout after having her lips pumped up to cheer herself up as she went though her divorce.
The 26-year-old said she had injections in her lips to boost her self-esteem after her split from Nick Lachey - but ended up with "fish lips".
The star pulled faces and joked about how her lip injections went wrong during her appearance on the late night talk show on Thursday.
She said: I was going through an emotional time in my life and I thought maybe if my lips were bigger that people would think it was sexy so I put this restalin stuff in my lips.
"It goes away in like four months or something but I looked like a Blow Fish. I looked so goofy. I was praying every night for it to go away."
She added: I have good lips. I don't know why I did it. I was having a hard time. I was going through a divorce.
But it hasn't put her off surgery for good.
The star told Jay Leno she will consider having a boob job if her famous curves get droopy after having children.
She said: "The only thing I would ever do, is if after I had kids, because you know I have boobs, is if my boobs were down to my belly button, I might have to put them back up.
I like the way I look. I'm not against plastic surgery. If you are doing it for yourself, then you are doing it for yourself."
Promoting her new album, A Public Affair, Jessica showed off her figure in a low cut black halter neck dress.
Once again, Jessica took the opportunity to deny having a new love in her life, despite reports she is dating musician John Mayer.
She said: "John is a legend. He is a very great guy. We are just friends. Trust me. If I had gone on a date the whole world would know."
