Booker T just signed a two-year contract extension with WWE. Booker plans on wrestling until at least 2009. He originally vowed to retire at age 40 in 2005, partially due to back problems.
Layla El, the winner of the 2006 Diva Search contest, is currently in a state of limbo in regards to having a distinguished role on television. The creative team simply has no idea as to how to use her. Also, Vince McMahon has already lost interest in pushing her. Its also been said that Layla got a breast augmentation shortly after she won the contest a few weeks ago.
WWE recently interviewed former AWA World Heavyweight Champion Nick Bockwinkel for the WWE's upcoming history of the AWA DVD release, "The Spectacular Legacy of the AWA" - which will be released in November. On being interviewed for the DVD, Bockwinkel said, "We did about a six-hour interview. They were quite thorough in everything they asked me. I was very surprised.
