WWE Trying to Stop TNA from Running Some Arenas?

WWE will be inducting a celebrity into this year's Hall of Fame class. There was actually talk of inducting Madison Square Garden as a building. This year's class will be larger than usual.

- With TNA Impact Wrestling taking their show on the road, WWE has began contacting a number of major arenas to put holds on them for future dates. At least one person within WWE thinks that if TNA begins going on the road every Thursday, WWE may need to change their touring schedule to Thursday, Friday and Saturday for at least one of the brands.

There is internal talk that WWE will put some arena dates on hold to make sure TNA doesn't get into them. WWE also may be enforcing some of their non-compete clauses so TNA can't run in the same buildings they do.

WWE publicly states that TNA is not competition, but TNA’s recent announcement that they are taking iMPACT! Wrestling on the road has already resulted in action from WWE. Word is that WWE has started contacting a number of mid-sized arenas to put holds on them for future dates. They are doing this in order to keep TNA from running those venues.

Also, if TNA starts running live each and every week, there is talk of WWE changing their touring schedule and running shows on Thursday nights in similar markets that TNA runs.

They should oppose this by making SmackDown! live and on Thursdays. Oh and also make Cody Rhodes world champion.

it is noted earlier that WWE has contacted a number of arenas to secure dates and will likely be using some of their non-compete clauses to prevent TNA from running those arenas with the new Impact Wrestling tapings schedule. WWE has booked a number of mid-size arenas including the Patriot Center in Fairfax, Virginia, the Wolstein Center in Cleveland, and the First Bank Center in Broomfield, Colorado. WWE will be running those buildings in their markets instead of the major arenas they usually run in.
