The Sun Herald spoke with a spokesperson for the Biloxi PD who noted that Jack Swagger’s court date for DUI, marijuana possession and speeding is March 12th.

Swagger, 30, of Boca Raton, Fla., was pulled over at 11:59 p.m. on Lorraine Road near Morningside Drive, and arrested on charges of driving under the influence, possession of marijuana and speeding.

An officer stopped him after noticing a 2013 Ford Taurus was speeding, police said.

The spokesperson noted that “He was released on a summons to an acquaintance who picked him up at the police station.”

- According to The Sun Herald out of Biloxi, Mississippi, Jack Swagger is scheduled to appear in court on March 12 on misdemeanor charges of driving under the influence, speeding and possession of marijuana.
- ProWrestling.net pointed out that WWE has the legal right to fire Jack Swagger following his arrest last night. Accoring to the Wellness Policy, which you can view here, any talent arrested in possession of drugs is in breach of their WWE contract. The policy states:

Any WWE Talent, who is arrested, convicted or who admits to a violation of law relating to use, possession, purchase, sale or distribution of drugs will be in material breach of his/her contract with WWE and subject to immediate dismissal.
In addition to the penalties that may be imposed pursuant to his/her contract with WWE, a violation of this Section 14 may also be treated as a positive test for drugs prohibited by this Policy and therefore, subject to the penalties set forth in Section 15 of this Policy.

--------------------------------------

As previously reported, Jack Swagger was arrested on Tuesday night for a DUI and marijuana suspension. The DUI was NOT for alcohol. Per WWE’s Wellness Policy, just being arrested is enough for WWE to release him if they so desired. The policy lists as follows:

“Any WWE Talent, who is arrested, convicted or who admits to a violation of law relating to use, possession, purchase, sale or distribution of drugs will be in material breach of his/her contract with WWE and subject to immediate dismissal.”

In addition, the violation acts identically per the Wellness policy as a positive test for drugs which includes a potential fine, suspension or more. This would be Swagger’s first Wellness violation.

As noted earlier here on the website, Jack Swagger was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence after being pulled over for speeding. A search of the vehicle revealed Swagger was in possession of marijuana.

Swagger was charged with DUI, marijuana possession, and speeding, which are all misdemeanors. You can click here to view his mugshot.

The following is from TMZ.com:

WWE star Jack Swagger was arrested last night in Mississippi, TMZ has learned — after allegedly driving under the influence … with pot in his car.

Sources close to the situation tell TMZ, Swagger — real name Jacob Hager — was leaving a “Smackdown” taping at Mississippi Coast Coliseum in Biloxi when he was pulled over for speeding.

According to law enforcement, the officer who pulled him over determined Swagger was driving under the influence — and a search revealed Swagger was in possession of marijuana.

We’re told Swagger — a former WWE World Heavyweight champ — was taken in by local sheriff’s deputies … and later released on his own recognizance.

He has been charged with DUI, marijuana possession, and speeding — all misdemeanors.

We reached out to WWE, who tells TMZ, “Mr. Swagger is responsible for his own personal actions.”

I wonder what they'll do? There's still enough time to build a new opponent for Del Rio if they choose to. Swagger may have blown his chance.

I don't see him getting fired. At the very least he should get the 30 day suspension that goes along with a wellness violation (while yes he wasn't tested he got caught with it) and work his way back up throughout the course of the year and try his luck again next year

Nothing will happen IMO, WWE will do its best to suppress it. Technically he did not break any of WWE rules so they will yell at him and tell him never to mention it anywhere and try to hide it IMO.

Its all apart of a great angle to promote Wrestlemania, Swagger, and Del Rio. Look at all this media attention and cross promotion!

WWE sources note that Jack Swagger was scheduled to win the World Heavyweight Title from Alberto Del Rio at WrestleMania 29. No word yet on what his arrest means for booking plans but WWE creative was working late on Wednesday night to come up with ideas, which doesn't sound good for Swagger and Zeb Colter.

There's talk that if WWE officials saw fit to change the direction of the match, then Dolph Ziggler would most likely get the WrestleMania match with Del Rio.

If Swagger ends up suspended and loses the WrestleMania match, the arrest altogether would cost him upwards of $250,000.

I doubt he was going to win the belt honestly. News sites are just speculating now. Hell I doubt the bookers have decided who's going to win each match already.
