If you plan on tuning into The Daily Show at any point this coming summer you might just get a bit of a surprise.
Instead of seeing the familiar face of Jon Stewart, you will be seeing someone else sitting in his place.
Don’t get too upset just yet. Stewart is not leaving the show. But, he is taking a bit of a hiatus.
The host will be taking a 12-week break over the summer in order to make his directorial debut with Rosewater.
Not only will he be directing the political drama, he also wrote the screenplay which is based on Maziar Bahari’s memoir Then They Came For Me: A Family’s Story of Love, Captivity and Survival.
John Oliver will be filling in for Stewart and the Sr. British correspondent will tape enough shows to fill 8 weeks of the hiatus—the other four weeks will be comprised of reruns.
