As noted earlier, Ric Flair had to leave RAW this evening and was briefly hospitalized before heading home to a hospital in Charlotte. Flair was sent to the hospital for complications from a blood clot. Flair didn't wrestle for All Japan back in January due to a blood clot in his leg.
WWE medical staff took a look at Flair's leg this afternoon and immediately made the decision to pull him off the show and send him to the hospital. Flair was examined at the hospital and advised to return home to Charlotte for further treatment.

Flair was scheduled for a segment with Bret Hart and Jerry Lawler that would have seen them discuss John Cena vs. The Rock at WrestleMania 29.

Ric Flair has returned to Charlotte, NC and is expected to follow up with a doctor today after being sent home from yesterday's Raw taping in Philadelphia.
Flair remained in Philly after being looked at by the local hospital and was actually at the WWE TV hotel bar drinking last night with the wrestlers following the taping. He did not return to Raw after being sent to the hospital.

Booker T filled in for Flair last night.

As reported yesterday, Ric Flair was sent home from RAW due to an issue with the same leg that he had the blood clot that kept him from wrestling in Japan. When giving him a medical exam, the WWE medical team had concern with him, and word is that the issue was not another blood clot, but it was an issue with that leg.

Flair was sent home to Charlotte, and was watching basketball and downplaying that there was any problem. He’s been known to do this and it gets people very worried that he doesn’t take it seriously. Nonetheless, he is expected to see a doctor for testing today but who knows if he’ll go.

Ric Flair's agent, Melinda Morris Zanoni of Legacy Talent and Entertainment, released the following statement regarding Flair's health:
"Ric is doing well, he feels great, and is home. WWE's medical staff performed a physical on Ric yesterday, like they do all of their athletes, and recommended that he have a doctor take a closer look at his swollen leg. Upon arriving back in Charlotte today he went to see his doctors and it was determined that there is a blood clot. He was not admitted to the hospital, rather released with medication, which the doctors are confident will work quickly causing Ric to completely heal soon. Ric appreciates everyone's concern and is looking forward to seeing fans at his next scheduled appearance in Hagerstown, MD on Friday and performing for WWE very soon."
