Benson Henderson has been rather busy in a lightweight division that seems to have more contenders every week. One of the dreams for Henderson is to fight in front of a sellout crowd of Brazilians.
"I thank all my fans for their love and all your support," said Henderson to TATAME. "I hope one day to fight in Brazil for 100,000 fans in a football stadium."
It's a mighty big dream for the 155 pounder.
While Henderson has hopes of competing in front of a monster crowd, the HP Pavilion will be packed with fans for the upcoming FOX show. In the main event, Henderson looks for his third title defense.
He takes on Gilbert Melendez, who tore apart Strikeforce's lightweight division while he was champion. Melendez held the belt up until the promotion ceased operations in January.
Henderson vs. Melendez is April 20 out of San Jose, CA.
