Triple H Announces New WWE Performance Center - Updated

Triple H, Florida Governor Rick Scott and Orange County Mayor Teresa Jacobs announced WWE’s new “Performance Center” at a news conference earlier this morning. The new facility, located in Orlando, will replace the company’s current developmental facility in Tampa.

Triple H mentioned that the 26,000-square-foot facility would feature seven wrestling rings and its own strength-and-conditioning and physical-therapy areas.

The facility is also expected to help strengthen WWE’s relationship with Full Sail University as Full Sail students will learn about TV production from the facility’s sound stage.

The WWE Performance Center is expected to have an economic impact as well as it’s expected to employ around 100 people, creating 16 new full-time jobs. The open is expected for some time this summer.

The official announcement of the WWE Performance Center has gotten a lot of local media attention in Florida as well as The Associated Press.
The Center is going to be a major deal for the company as it's going to completely change the way they recruit and develop talent. Not only will they be signing independent talents to bring them down and groom them for the main roster but they will aggressively recruit and bring athletes in to train them as potential WWE talents.

The partnership with Full Sail University also cements that this will be a major step up from the existing developmental program as they will get a lot of production and media students working in conjunction with WWE and will be able to groom and develop future production staff for the company as well.
