UFC president Dana White didn't shy away from the answer Saturday night, stating that he - just like the California Athletic Commission judges - had Benson Henderson over Gilbert Melendez.
The two met for Henderson's UFC lightweight title at UFC On FOX: Henderson Vs. Melendez from San Jose. "Smooth" was awarded a split-decision victory, his third successful title defense.
"I had it three rounds to two for Benson Henderson and the second round was one of those wishy-washy rounds," said White, during the post-fight show on FUEL TV.
The UFC boss, though, was less-than-impressed with one aspect of the fight: the final minute of action.
"Neither one of them really went at it," he said. "I think when you're in the fifth round, and you know that you're losing the fight, try to pull guard, roll around - do anything to try and win the fight."
