A&E bosses deny firing Storage Wars cast members

A&E bosses have denied reports they fired three Storage Wars cast members. Gossip site Radar Online reported on Wednesday (01May13) that Dan Dotson, Laura Dotson, and Darrell Sheets had been dropped from the popular auction series, in favor of expanding the franchise and submitting to budget cuts. However a rep for A&E tells TVGuide.com that there is no truth to the rumor, stating, "Not every cast member appears in every episode of the series, but there is no truth to the report that any other members have been dropped." The speculation of the cast firings comes after former star Dave Hester filed a lawsuit against A&E and the show's production company last December (12), claiming he was wrongfully terminated and that the series is faked. A Los Angeles judge threw out Hester's unfair practices claim in March (13), and insisted his wrongful termination allegation needed to be more specific.
