– With WWE transferring its developmental headquarters to the WWE Performance Center launching next week in Winter Park, Florida, its former developmental station, Florida Championship Wrestling, has been officially shut down as we noted earlier here on the website. Material and rings held at the FCW Arena in Tampa were broken down on Friday, and what is being kept by WWE is being transferred to the new station yesterday and today. WWE is using their 18-wheeler production trucks to move the equipment.
– As we noted earlier here on the website, Rey Mysterio underwent surgery this week with Dr. James Andrews in Birmingham. According to sources, WWE was upset that Mysterio underwent prior surgeries with Dr. David Chao of San Diego after a USA Today article revealed that two different hospitals in the city have banned him from performing surgery. Dr. Chao had a review conducted by Scripps Memorial and Scripps Mercy Hospitals and ruling that his alcohol consumption led to poor quality of care. Former patients of Dr. Chao have accused him of “maiming” them during surgeries along with negligence.
