PHILADELPHIA – Fitting for the birthplace of Extreme, many Superstars were injured in the intense matchups of Sunday’s Money in the Bank pay-per-view event, including the returning Rob Van Dam.
Both RVD and CM Punk were treated backstage by WWE medical personnel following the Money in the Bank All-Stars Ladder Match. Van Dam received 14 staples to treat a gash in his forehead and Punk was treated with 13 for a wound on the top of his cranium. In that same match, Christian suffered a chipped front tooth.
Cody Rhodes, who was noticeably battered in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match for the World Heavyweight Championship Contract, also needed five stitches to treat a laceration above his right eye.
