Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has indeed signed on to play the lead character in a feature film adaptation of 1970s action series "The Fall Guy."
On his Twitter yesterday, Johnson linked to an article about the film and wrote, "The unknown stuntman who moonlights as a bounty hunter.. Fired up to play the role. Cool, bad ass & fun."
The original series starred Lee Majors. Word broke on 9/5 that Johnson was in negotiations for the film.
The film is being co-produced by WWE Studios, making it the first production under that banner Johnson has starred in since WWE created their own Studio.
