While it has been noted by some (including a Sports Illustrated article (http://extramustard.si.com/2013/09/23/wwe-2k14-wrestlemania-chris-benoit-eddie-guerrero/)) that the “30 Years of WrestleMania” mode in WWE 2K14 is missing Eddie Guerrero’s WrestleMania 20 match, it may not be for the reasons you think. The SI article suggests that Guerrero’s match at the PPV wasn’t included because it may make fans think of Chris Benoit due to their show-closing pose, this is not the case.
We’re told Guerrero’s match isn’t included for one simple reason: he faced Kurt Angle, who neither WWE nor 2K Sports have the likeness rights for in terms of games. This is also why Roddy Piper’s match for WrestleMania I isn’t in the game; they were unable to come to terms with Mr. T for licensing rights.
There is a chance that these characters could show up as DLC, but that is not yet known. The game launches on October 29th for Xbox 360 and PS3.
