John Cena Update

The John Cena stretcher job was a planned segment and was included in the Raw script last night, according to several sources I spoke to this morning. The stretcher used was actually put in place near the entrance ramp prior to the segment.

So, while Cena may have tweaked his knee (and initially, those backstage believed he did), the "injury" was scripted into Raw and was nowhere near as serious as was played up on TV.

I am told the company pushed a "medical update" on the Raw Backstage Pass to drive attention towards the WWE Network.

Good for Cena on this new because I've got to say that Cena sold the injury extremely well. His knee looked awkward when they stretchered him out. Even a tweaked knee won't keep him from wrestling at WM.
