Backstage News on Rob Van Dam Returning to WWE

We noted earlier via The Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Rob Van Dam is scheduled to return to WWE on RAW the night after WrestleMania XXX.

PWInsider now reports that WWE has booked travel arrangements for RVD and that he will be with them during WrestleMania XXX weekend. They say his return to WWE TV is imminent.

I'm sure he'll get a huge pop when he returns, I really hope he ends up feuding with Bryan.

I must have missed this but why did they bring him back a few months ago, only to let him quickly fade away?
