REPORT: REY MYSTERIO’S WWE CONTRACT RENEWED

Rey Mysterio’s WWE contract was reportedly set to expire last week. Vince McMahon renewed the deal for one year. This is due to the fact that WWE contracts are allowed to be frozen in the event of injury. Since Mysterio has missed so much time during the course of his deal due to injuries, the WWE felt that Mysterio owed them time and he was renewed through May of 2015.

Mysterio reportedly has a healthy downside guarantee, but how WWE will use him at this time is unknown. There is concern over Mysterio’s ability to hold up, so they may not want to invest heavily in him. Mysterio is currently out of action with a hand injury.

You can't knock Mysterio for his talent. He is definitely a guy you would want on your roster. Problem is he can't seem to stay healthy. Hell, they don't seem to have much faith themselves, seeing as how he has been relegated to a tag team with Sin Cara before he was injured again. At some point you have to hang up your boots, and I don't see it happening as long as he can go, although I don't want to see him in the ring if he can't bring it either.
