WWE will add Saturday Night's Main Event specials to the WWE Network this coming Monday. The old NBC and FOX specials will be added to the Vault section as well as inserted into the Network's scheduled programming.
WWE produced 30 late-night SNME specials from 1985 to 1992 with all but the final one airing on NBC. That final special aired on FOX in prime-time. The SNME specials returned to NBC as prime-time specials in 2006 with six additional specials being produced.
During the original NBC run, a number of live prime-time "Main Event" specials were also produced, featuring such big angles as The Mega-Powers split and Hulk Hogan losing the WWF championship to Andre the Giant, who then attempted to sell it to Ted DiBiase. Whether those specials will be included and placed on the WWE Network is not confirmed as of this writing.
