Scotland's Daily Record interviewed Drew "McIntyre" Galloway about his release from WWE. About being let go he said, "I guess I was annoyed, now I'm just fired up." He stated, "I have an opportunity to be the biggest wrestler outside of the WWE and I won't be happy unless I'm a big brand. It's not a case of if I'll be back with the WWE, it's a case of when." When asked where the Summerslam 2010 incident with his now ex-wife Taryn Terrell had anything to do with him not getting a chance in WWE he said, "There are always behind-the-scenes politics in any job."

SCOTS wrestling star Drew Galloway has vowed to make the WWE regret sacking him last month.
Galloway – known as Drew McIntyre in the ring – enjoyed seven years in the big time before he was let go in the organisation’s annual cull.
But the 6ft 5in hulk plans to stay in the fight game and turn in performances that will have WWE bosses desperate to get
him back.
Speaking for the first time since being dumped, Drew, 29, said: “I guess I was annoyed, now I’m just fired up.
“I have an opportunity to be the biggest wrestler outside of the WWE and I won’t be happy unless I’m a big brand.
“It’s not a case of if I’ll be back with the WWE, it’s a case of when.”
Drew, from Ayr, was one of 11 wrestlers dumped last month. He said: “It was a shock because I was already booked to continue performing on TV and touring all over the world.”
There have been rumours that his divorce from former WWE wrestler Taryn Terrell blacklisted him backstage and could have led to his sacking.
Terrell, 28, was suspended by the WWE after she was arrested for reportedly attacking Drew in 2010.
He said: “There are always behind-the-scenes politics in any job.
“I pride myself on being a nice guy and hope the things that have been blown way out of proportion didn’t hurt me and my career.
“A lot of what you hear and see on the internet is nonsense. A lot of people are really vocal about my talent – and that’s what’s most important.”
After years of performing in America, Drew returns to Ayrshire next month on a British Championship *Wrestling bill in *Kilmarnock.
He said: “There’s a three-month period after my release where I can’t wrestle on TV. But I can do live shows and I can’t wait to come home.
“It’ll be the start of me showing my talents around the globe outside of the WWE.
“I’m not there just to make up the numbers, I’m there to eat them.
“And it’d be great if I can help British and European wrestling grow at the same time.”
Drew still harbours dreams of movie stardom and has landed the role of a Celtic warrior in a new project.
He said: “I’ve already got some acting things lined up that would have never been a possibility before because of my wrestling schedule.”
