A number of prominent WWE NXT talents have been booked for the next several weeks of WWE TV tapings.
NXT champion Adrian Neville, Sami Zayn and Tyler Breeze are all scheduled to be at this Monday's Raw in Lafayette, LA and Tuesday's Smackdown in Biloxi, MS.
NXT talents are expected to be at TV for at least the next several weeks. Whether they are used on TV to help continue to cross-promote the NXT brand remains to be seen.
Earlier this week, Triple H was asked during a media conference call about the possibility of continuing to cross-promote NXT on Raw and Smackdown. In response, he commented:
"I think we’re open to doing that in a lot of different ways. Just the fact that we - to your point - took a segment of our biggest flagship show on one of our biggest nights, it was our season premiere, so to speak and taking that opportunity to give NXT and to give those talents a platform to show what they do, to allow people to see the brand...maybe they haven’t seen NXT before or seen those talents before...and use that as a way to promote the special, to promote Takeover, to promote the Network, to promote everything is a great opportunity. I’m not losing perspective of it also being a feeder system and what is the best way to debut a talent. This one was about promotion and giving these guys an opportunity. It’s about awareness and we have the ability to do that. We also have the ability to keep guys special and run vignettes on them and bring them in a bigger way or to cross-promote all of those platforms. If there’s one thing that’s the beauty of the WWE, we use all of our platforms to cross-promote each other and vice versa. That’s really kind of our secret sauce in a way of being to able to do all of this....just the fact that we were able to get that kind of play that were able to get promotional spots within Raw and then to get that match out there on Raw and we have the confidence in the ability in these guys to be able to perform at that level. I’ll say, to your point, anything new is going to feel fresh is going to feel different and all of those things. They performed at a level that … they belong there now. Now it’s just a matter of when do we need them? When is the right time? How do you want to bring them up and in what way? But we can do it in any way we want."
Zayn, Breeze, Neville and Tyson Kidd competed in a tag match on Raw Monday to spotlight the NXT brand leading into the NXT Takeover: Fatal Four Way special last night on the WWE Network.
