There has been some speculation that Cesaro was booked to lose two straight falls against Dolph Ziggler at WWE Hell In a Cell due to comments he made on Randy Orton and John Cena in the week leading up to the pay-per-view. For those who missed it, Cesaro told The Liverpool Echo:
"Exactly. It is a new era of guys, it's a new generation, and it's a lot of fun to watch that because there are fresh match-ups. I mean I'm sick of seeing John Cena against Randy Orton for the 500th time. It's great that we have some new, young guys that can come out and provide absolutely great match-ups and for the fans there are fresh, exciting matches and things to watch."
A WWE source says Cesaro was not being punished for those comments in the match against Ziggler or in the Trick or Street beatdown he took from Dean Ambrose on SmackDown. Cesaro reportedly did not get heat for those comments and there was a feeling backstage that his comments were taken out of context
