According to ProWrestling.net, a reader contacted Sky Sports in The UK and was told by a representative that the WWE Network will be launched as a Sky Sports channel.
“Yes, we will launch it as a channel with Sky TV,” the customer service rep wrote in a one-on-one chat. “Currently we don’t have any details but it will be going to be soon… And you will will be notified by adv, email or call.”
The report notes the possibility of the customer service rep being misinformed cannot be ruled out, however the rep and the information seemed competent.
WWE has yet to confirm or deny the report, but as of now it seems the UK WWE Network will be modeled similarly to how it’s being done in Canada, with the service being offered as a channel as opposed to the over-the-top model being used in The United States
