[NOAH News] Pro Wrestling Noah held one last final conference before the upcoming Ariake Colosseum show on December 6.

The reigning GHC Heavyweight Champion Naomichi Marufuji stated that this is not the firs time that he and Takashi Sugiura have ever met in the ring, and it may not be the last. Both men have proven to be two of the leading stars in NOAH and have done their best to showcase what the promotion is all about. Marufuji said that his condition is great heading into the defense and he knows that Sugiura is always going to go into a match, especially a title match, with 120% of himself ready to go. Maru said he would have it no other way though as he wants to have the best match possible. Sugiura stated that he knows the leading role is now presently in his position as he came out the winner of the “Global League” and he looks to reclaim the GHC as he heads into the new year. Sugiura mentioned that to carry the GHC Heavyweight belt takes a tremendous responsibility and to be the strongest champion possible can be a daunting task. This match will determine between the two who currently is the true champion of NOAH.

The GHC Junior Heavyweight Champion Daisuke Harada and Atsushi Kotoge will be rekindling their career rivalry once more stemming back to their early days in Osaka Pro-Wrestling 8 years ago. Both men know each other through their years of competing and in tandem over the years. Harada stated that he is great condition heading into the defense with Kotoge stating that he is eager more than ever to try his hardest to finally capture the singles belt. Both men look to showcase who they are for the semi-final match of the big Ariake show.

The reigning GHC Junior Tag Champions Kenou and Hajime Ohara stated that they are ready for the decisive battle against the NJPW masked wrestlers and that defending the belts is their only priority. Ohara stated that the double losses at the November 24th show was indeed a setback, and they know for certain that they were over-matched at the time. There is no denying that Liger & Tiger are very strong, but now the champions know for certain that they will have to showcase why they are rightful champions. Kenou stated that he and Ohara technically are not signed under NOAH but they will fight to keep the belts under their current homes banner.

FUNAKI also appeared for the press conference as this marks his first ever appearance in NOAH. FUNAKI brought up KENTA, now Hideo Itami in the WWE, and how he has worked with him over the last several months as KENTA made the transition in the USA. FUNAKI mentioned that he had his part in helping KENTA get his start in the WWE, even in the scouting process, but he then mentioned that he wants to give back to NOAH as well and would be more than willing to continue working with the promotion if permitted. FUNAKI and Crazy were asked about Scotty 2 Hotty and if they Japanese fans can expect to see the “WORM”, in which FUNAKI replied that Scotty is in great shape and they will all do their best to please the fans.
