Orton's & RVD's Subdued Pushes, First 10 Minutes Of RAW
The main reason RVD and Randy Orton are getting subdued pushes is because the general rule is that people who can't be counted on are going to kept from the top spots for a while. Sabu basically got RVD's spot as the main event babyface even though Van Dam is clearly more over. The general rule was one of the reasons, though not the main one, as to why Kurt Angle was never considered for an ECW title run. Van Dam will probably get the top spot back in the build-up to the 12/3 ECW PPV, which will probably feature RVD vs. Big Show for the title.
It was commercially advertised that something big would take place during the first ten minutes of last night's RAW. It is currently unknown as to what would have occured during those 10 minutes had the power not gone out.
