Here are the results from NXT Live in Cocoa Beach, FL for 2/21/15
- Chad Gable def. Michael Carter. Basic match. Gable looks really fluid in the ring. Given some time, he might turn out to be a major player.
- Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady w/Carmella def. Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder. Really entertaining match with lots of Enzo comedy spots, including a point where he called himself Sugar Ray Amore and challenged Dawson to a boxing match. Enzo won with the rocket launcher.
- The Vaudevillains came out to their old music and cut a promo saying that Blake and Murphy were not gentlemanly in how they tried to steal Carmella. They promise to show Blake and Murphy what it's like to be manly.
- Solomon Crowe def. Jason Jordan. Solid match. It was the best I've seen of Jordan in the ring. Crowe won with the leg lock.
- Baron Corbin def. Tyler Breeze by countout when Tyler refused to reenter the ring. Match never totally got any flow. Just when it was picking up steam, Tyler got counted out.
- Bayley def. Becky Lynch. Another good bout from the women. There was a definite split in the crowd between these two. Becky is getting a lot more love lately. Bayley won with the Bayley to Belly.
- Finn Balor def. Hideo Itami. Another solid match between these two. They are just so crisp in the ring. Finn wins with the top rope stomp.
- Wesley Blake and Buddy Murphy def. The Vaudevillains. There was some confusion on the Vaudevillains' music. They first played the newer music by mistake and thenwent back to the original music. The Vaudevillains were the faces for this match, and along with their old music, it suits the gimmick so much better. This was a really fun match and the best of both teams I've seen in a bit. Blake won with the Frog Splash on Gotch.
- Kevin Owens def. Adrian Neville. Really good match. Kevin Owens is so good as a heel. Just a great way to close the show.
Notes:
- There was a meet and greet before the show with Charlotte, Hideo Itami, and Solomon Crowe.
- The show was a complete sellout and plenty of standing room only tickets sold.
- Michael Carter has held a couple of different names with NXT, including Digg Rawlis and Michael Rallis. He has been working a few shows now in the last few months. He is also a dead ringer for Lucky Cannon, only bigger.
- It seems Tyler Breeze missed his cue to enter as it took a while for him to come out. At one point Rich Brennan went back behind the curtain to see what was up.
- Greg Hamilton was our host for the evening and they gave away a signed NXT shirt to one lucky fan based on their social media activity during the night.
- I did not hear if they announced the next date for Cocoa Beach.
