WWE Hall of Famer Steve Austin is being brought to New York City for SummerSlam weekend by the company. Austin is not currently scheduled for the actual SummerSlam pay-per-view but he will likely be doing promotion for the WWE 2K16 video game and could be making other appearances.
On a related note, there's now a lot of speculation about The Rock appearing at SummerSlam after Roman Reigns was asked by FOX Sports if The Great One will be there and he replied with the following:
"I wanna tell you, but I don't want to give anything away."
There's no talk going around WWE about The Rock being at SummerSlam but it was noted by sources that if he was planning a return, not many people besides Triple H, Stephanie McMahon, Vince McMahon and The Rock would know.
