There’s no doubt at this point that Ronda Rousey is the biggest star in the UFC, and the UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion revealed during her appearance on “The Ellen Show” this week that she is compensated as such.
Rousey noted during her appearance on the weekly morning program that she is the highest paid fighter currently in the UFC.
“I’m the highest paid fighter in the UFC,” Rousey said. “It’s pretty cool. It’s fun to say.”
“Rowdy” Ronda also spoke about an emotional pre-fight ritual she has before every fight inside the Octagon.
“I’m the biggest crier. Especially fight week when I’m about to fight, I’m the most emotional,” Rousey said. “Like my last fight, I totally cried the day before that. You’re so amped up and it’s every emotion you could possibly have happens that week. It’s like the most stress, the most anxiety, the most pressure possible and then it’s the happiest you could possibly be.”
Rousey continued, “It’s all these things and sometimes you can’t hold it in. It’s got to leak out of somewhere like your eyes.”
The well-paid Rousey returns to the Octagon to defend her UFC Women’s Bantamweight Championship against undefeated contender and former multiple-time women’s boxing champion Holly Holm in the main event of UFC 193 on November 15, 2015 at Etihad Stadium in Melbourne, Australia.
