As noted last night, a fan jumped the guard rail and hit the ring just before the start of the Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose and Chris Jericho vs. The Wyatt Family six man tag-team match at WWE Night Of Champions.
After the show, WWE issued the following statement regarding the fan incident: "WWE takes the safety of our performers very seriously and any fan entering the ring area will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law."
PWI is reporting that due to the recent string of fan incidents, WWE is reportedly looking to pursue the most stringent prosecution possible for all future fan incidents.
Generally speaking, WWE issues lifetime bans to fans who jump the guard rail at events, however if WWE pursues criminal charges for these incidents in the future, the feeling is it will decrease the amount of incidents like this in the future.
