Ric Flair recently hosted Eric Bischoff on his WOOOO! Nation podcast in a two-part interview, which featured several stories from the time the pair worked together in WCW.
One subject that came up was Rick Rude; Flair said Hulk Hogan was afraid to work with him [Rude] because Hogan knew about Rude beating up Ultimate Warrior while still with the (then) WWF. Apparently it stemmed from Warrior saying Rude wasn’t good enough for a title shot.
Bischoff also told a story about Rude, saying he had to take a title from Rude because he needed it back. Rude took Bischoff to his car, and showed him a gun next to the belt in the trunk. He said Rude just glanced at him and then the trunk before handing the belt to Bischoff, who said it was an “awkward moment”, but Rude had made his point.
