As officially announced earlier today, Seth Rollins has vacated the WWE World Heavyweight Championship after suffering an injury during the WWE European tour, and as expected, there are many ramifications as a result.

Rollins suffered a torn right ACL, MCL and meniscus during his match at the WWE live event on Wednesday in Dublin, Ireland, and is scheduled to travel home to Iowa today to begin the process of dealing with the injury.

As far as how this will directly impact the current WWE creative, Rollins has vacated the WWE World Heavyweight Championship and the title will be up for grabs in a tournament at this month’s WWE Survivor Series pay-per-view.

It had been rumored prior to the injury that Roman Reigns was booked to win the title from Rollins at Survivor Series, with follow-up matches between the two at the next few pay-per-views, meaning WWE will have to come up with a new main event for December’s TLC pay-per-view.
