Nick Diaz, who is currently serving a five-year suspension by the NSAC after UFC 183, may be able to return to action as early as June 2016.
According to UFC Tonight, Diaz and NSAC are negotiating a settlement deal. The deal currently on the table would reduce Diaz’s suspension down to 18 months. His fine would also be reduced from $165,000 to $100,000.
There was outrage on the internet after Diaz was suspended for five years after testing over the limit for marijuana metabolites in the state of Nevada, and a petition to the White House reached over 114,800 signatures.
