Jim Dotson, WWE’s head of security during the Attitude Era, passed away on December 10th at the age of 49. He worked for the company from 1995 to 2001 and left the company due to health issues.
Dotson was a muscle-bound guy who was ringside keeping order during the company’s most successful period in history. Due to his look, it seemed that him transitioning into an active wrestler would be a natural fit. He even got involved in a brief angle with Steve Blackman at one point, but it never went too far.
Dotson’s health declined in the final years of his life and he dealt with an incurable eye disease kept him from working. Since he did not have health insurance or life insurance, his family has started a GoFundMe campaign to help cover some of his after-life expenses.
