Booker says this is the future and Bray Wyatt does not care about the past. He has dealt with John Cena and the Undertaker. Now he is dealing with the Dudleys, Tommy Dreamer, and Rhyno. Byron talks about the fear that the Wyatts strike in everyone in the locker room, but The Dudleys, Tommy Dreamer, and Rhyno deal with it.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Renee mentions the Intercontinental Title Match between Dean Ambrose and Kevin Owens. We see what happened on Raw between Dean and Kevin. Then we see footage of the contract signing on Smackdown. Renee asks Byron about what happened on Raw. Byron says that if you look at this scenario, Kevin Owens is a prize fighter. Kevin will be the same person tomorrow if he wins the match. Corey says that Kevin fights well under pressure. If he wants to be the champion, he will continue to do what he has done.

Renee brings up how Dean has had time to come up with a plan and Booker says that Dean has one speed and he does it. Booker says that Dean knows about being champion so tonight is a step up moment. Renee asks for predictions and Corey says that Kevin will win while Byron says Dean will win. Booker says if he has to pick someone, it is Dean. Renee turns attention to the Triple Threat Ladder Match. She asks Booker how you prepare for this type of match. Booker says you know you are going to deal with pain.

We go to the Usos in the locker room and Jimmy is in a good mood, but Jey is feeling more serious. He says it has been a long six months to get back. It is hard to imagine. Jimmy says the hard work will pay off tonight.

Kalisto and Sin Cara enter and they say it takes more than hard work. Kalisto says the tag titles are going to be in the sky and tonight the Luchas will cry. Sin Cara tells the Usos not to fly too close to the sun.

Jimmy says they are not afraid of heights and they will win the titles. The Usos and Lucha Dragons are given presents from their ‘Secret Santas’. It is some New Day merchandise with a note telling them this is their consolation prize. The Usos say that the New Day will not leave with the titles tonight. Booker says someone is going to get hurt and the New Day is going down.

Byron says the New Day has the advantage because they don’t want to be in this match. The Usos will take risks while the New Day will take a more conservative approach.

Renee asks if Kofi will take a backseat. Byron mentions that Kofi has changed. Booker says the Lucha Dragons are the most dynamic of the teams and they are his pick to win. Byron says experience is with the New Day. They will sit back enough to climb the ladder at the right time. Booker says to expect the unexpected in this type of match.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Ric Flair is on the phone and he says he is here to watch Charlotte style and profile all over Paige. Paige stops by and she says she is not surprised that Ric will be out there because he steals her spotlight. Ric says that being the greatest Divas Champion of all time, Charlotte has her own aura. Ric has a glow about him that does not leave him. Paige says that it is a bunch of pap that The Flairs are the dirtiest family in the game. She reminds Ric that she slapped him in the face on Raw. Ric says she is not the first to slap him.

Paige says that she will give Ric the chance of a lifetime to be there for her daughter to let her cry on her shoulder after she loses the Divas Championship. Paige tries to slap Flair, but Ric blocks it.

Renee asks about Charlotte’s rise to the top. Byron says that Charlotte has realized that she can be the champion for a long time. That is why she has brought her father into the situation. Byron says that Ric loves his daughter and Charlotte is honoring her father by having her at ringside. Booker says Ric is the best coach you can have in your corner. Who is better to take Charlotte to the mountain top?

Renee brings up Paige’s comments about the Flair family. Corey says that Paige is getting a certain response from Charlotte and it is time to put up or shut up. It is time to talk about the United States Title Chairs Match between Alberto Del Rio and Jack Swagger.

We see what happened on Raw with Alberto, Jack, and Zeb Colter. Renee asks if Jack is working with Zeb again. Byron says that we know of the relationship between Jack and Zeb. Jack would dedicate his matches to Zeb while Zeb was out. Renee asks about the influence of the League of Nations. Corey says he would rather have the League of Nations instead of an old man. Booker says the League won’t have anything to do with this because he wants to show how good he is. Jack needs to ride the wave and use America to get behind him.

The first question asks him why he returned. Alberto says this is the major leagues of pro wrestling. If you are a real fighter, this is where you need to be. He is the United States Champion and this is the first step. There is more to come and that is a promise.

The next question is if Alberto is scared that Jack Swagger will win tonight. Alberto laughs at that and he says he is bigger, faster, and stronger than ever. He is better than Jack. Because he is Mexican he is better. He is not only going to beat Jack, he is going to destroy him. It is like a man fighting a boy. Alberto is asked what made him join the League of Nations. Alberto says you have an Irish, Bulgarian, someone from the United Kingdom, and a Mexican. The most important thing is that they are not Americans. The people will talk about the League of Nations for years to come. Tom asks Alberto about the fate of MexAmerica. Alberto says that didn’t work because he trusted an American. Alberto gets up and leaves the Social Media Lounge.

We go to commercial.

We are back and we return to the panel and it is time to talk briefly about the fact that if you sign up for the WWE Network, you can watch NXT Takeover London on Wednesday. It is time to talk about the Main Event between Sheamus and Roman Reigns in a Tables, Ladders, and Chairs Match.

We have a video package.

We look around the arena and then Renee asks about the match. Booker says Sheamus is a top flight superstar. He did what he was supposed to do. He cashed in when he had to. Byron says Survivor Series was the best thing that could have happened. He had a chance to taste the title and it was taken away from him. Byron says that now Roman wants that title back and it makes Roman more dangerous.

Corey complains about how Byron compared the title to a pie. He agrees with Booker and how Sheamus cashed in when he should have and he joined forces with the Authority. Something has changed in Sheamus. Corey says that Sheamus is more entertaining. He says that Roman is thinking about something. Renee asks what would happen if Roman, Dean, and the Usos walked out with the titles tonight.

Booker says that Roman could have joined the Authority, but he did it on his own. We go to the back where Sheamus is with Rusev, Alberto Del Rio, Wade Barrett, and Lana. Wade says they will leave an indelible mark on the WWE. Alberto says Mexico will use a chair again and again to beat the Real American. Rusev says he will beat Ryback. Sheamus says he will climb the ladder to prove he is the best. Sheamus mentions that Conor McGregor set a record last night and Sheamus says he will successfully defend his title in a similar manner. What they do will set the tone for the world. The League of Nations will endure.

The show opens with a video package highlighting the main feuds heading into tonight’s event. A good bit of time is spent on Reigns vs. Sheamus for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, and Reigns’ quest to obtain the top title in WWE.

The pyro hits and Michael Cole welcomes us to the show. The WWE Tag Team Championships are hanging over the ring, and it looks like that match will be opening the show.

Woods says he’s not going to waste a good hair day on Boston. Big E says when they climb the ladder of success and retrieve what is rightfully theirs, they’ll be more than just the WWE World Tag Team Champions, and Kofi says they’ll also officially appoint themselves as the faces of the Tag Team division. Woods asks who else could be the faces of this glorious division? Not the Lucha Booty’s. Kofi says this isn’t WWE Jr. before asking what an Uso is anyway? Woods asks what happened to Mikey? Big E says he caught a case of the Uso’s. Kofi says they don’t hide behind masks or face paint, because they are stars. New Day give the fans a preview of the next Wheaties box cover, posing for the fans, before getting them started with a New Day Rocks chant.

Lucha Dragons are out next, and they get a favorable reaction from the fans, but New Day is correct in the statement that they are stars. The Uso’s are the last team to make their way to the ring, also getting a pretty good reaction.

The bell rings and all six men look at each other while Xavier Woods joins the commentary team. Kofi, Sin Cara and one of the Uso’s jump to the outside to grab ladders while the other three fight in the ring. Big E fights off everyone trying to make it into the ring with a ladder, and this allows Kofi to bring one in. Kofi begins the climb but the Uso’s pull him down quickly. Kofi and Kalisto both springboard off the ropes on to the ladder, but the Uso’s are there to break things up again. Kofi tosses one of the Uso’s to the outside before teaming up with Big E to take on the Dragons. Kofi and Big E are tossed to the outside, and the Dragons go to the apron, moonsaulting off on their opponents. The Uso’s grab the ladder and knock the Dragons from the apron before tossing the ladder to the outside where it’s caught by all four men on the floor. Jimmy and Jey dive over the top rope, hitting the ladder and wiping out all of their opponents.

The Uso’s bring the ladder into the ring and set it up before picking Kofi up and tossing him to the floor. Big E comes in and drives the ladder into both Uso’s taking them down to the mat. Big E chokes one of the Uso’s with his boot in the corner while Kofi smashes the other Uso on the floor with a ladder. Big E and Kofi pick up the ladder and prop it in the corner, trapping one of the Uso’s and kicking him in the face through the rungs of the ladder. Woods hops off of commentary so he can do a bit of trombone playing while Kofi runs in and smashes the Uso in the face with a big boot. Big E catches the other Uso and hits a belly to belly suplex, launching him into the ladder. The Lucha Dragons are in and they’ve got a ladder, set up upside down, and they push it back and forth with Big E for a bit before Kalisto heads to the top and wipes out E with a seated senton. Cara stands on the middle turnbuckle with the ladder, and Kofi leaps up, hitting him with a couple of rights before being knocked down. The send one Uso from the ring and double team the other, Cara slamming Kalisto down on top of the Uso. They set up a ladder on top of Uso before Cara monkey flips Kalisto on top of the ladder and Uso.

The Dragons set up the ladder, but they’re stopped by Kofi who sets up another ladder between one of the rungs of the standing ladder, and the middle rope. Kofi tries to whip Kalisto into the ladder, but Kalisto ducks, drives the ladder into Kofi’s gut, then leaps on top of the ladder and hits a hurricanrana, sending Kofi face first into the horizontal ladder propped on the ring ropes.

Kalisto begins climbing the ladder, but he’s stopped by the Uso’s. Cara pops up to help Kalisto, pulling one of the Uso’s down before being kicked away by Jey. Kalisto and Jey climb opposite sides of the ladder and slug it out at the top. Kalisto hits sliced bread, driving Jey through the ladder propped on the ropes, and Cara follows it up with a nasty senton.

Jimmy and Kalisto climb up the ladder once more, a bit slower this time. Jimmy knocks Kalisto off the ladder, and Big E comes in out of nowhere to pull him off. E ends up thrown from the ring, but he responds with a huge forearm to Jimmy’s face when Jimmy goes to dive through the ropes. Big E picks up a ladder, but Jimmy hits a dropkick, driving the ladder into E’s face. Jimmy heads to the top rope and leaps to the outside, hitting a frog splash on top of the ladder laying on Big E.

Ryback vs. Rusev

Rusev is the first man to make his way out to the ring, and of course he’s accompanied by Lana on his way down the aisle. Fans don’t seem too interested in Rusev, and it’s going to be a hell of a tough thing to follow that opening match. Ryback is out next, and the Big Guy gets a bit of a reaction from the fans, but it’s still a far cry from any reaction the opening teams garnered from the audience.

Dean Ambrose is shown getting ready in the back. Reigns walks in and Ambrose says he was looking for him earlier. Reigns asks Ambrose how he’s feeling and Ambrose says good. Reigns says he keeps picturing himself at the top of the ladder, with Sheamus at the bottom. Reigns says he’s willing to break all of his knuckles and every rung on every ladder with Sheamus’ head. But win, lose or draw, tonight is about making a statement. Ambrose says his vision is both men standing in the middle of the ring as champions. Reigns says that’s a hell of a way to end the year before walking out.

The announce team turns their thoughts to Swagger vs. Del Rio, covering some of their recent history with Del Rio attacking Swagger with a chair this past Monday on Raw.

Swagger brings Del Rio back into the ring where he goes for the Swagger bomb, but Del Rio counters with a chair thrust to the throat. Del Rio kicks Swagger in the back of the head before taking him into the corner and driving a chair into his midsection. Del Rio rears back and whacks Swagger across the back before wedging the chair into the corner between the top and middle turnbuckle. Swagger stands and hits Del Rio with a couple of big right hands, then avoids being sent into the chair in the corner. Del Rio connects with the backstabber, but Swagger is still able to kick out at two.

Del Rio winds up and whacks Swagger across the back with a chair a couple of times before waiting for Swagger to stand. Del Rio charges and Swagger hurls a chair into Del Rio’s face. WWE Intercontinental Championship Match
WWE Intercontinental champion Kevin Owens vs. Dean Ambrose

The announce team turn their thoughts to the next match, which will be for the WWE Intercontinental Championship. We don’t get a video package as Kevin Owens makes his way out into the arena immediately.

Owens says every time he comes to Boston he hears about how proud Boston is of their sports team. Every time one of them wins, the fans go around talking about how they’ve won, when the truth is they’ve done nothing. They wanted the teams to win, but the individuals have done nothing. That makes them like Dean Ambrose, delusional. Ambrose walks around like he’s accomplished something, but what has he accomplished? Throwing popcorn and soda in Owens’ face? Owens eats popcorn and drinks soda every day of his life. And last month at Survivor Series was a fluke. And when Owens wins tonight, as delusional as Dean and all the fans are, no one will be able to deny that this is the Kevin Owens show.
