We are saddened to report that former WWE Superstar “Iron” Mike Sharpe passed away over the weekend at his home in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. He 64.
Sharpe wrestled from 1977-1995. He competed for the World Wrestling Federation from 1983 through 1995, mostly as an enhancement talent. Sharpe dubbed himself “Canada’s Greatest Athlete.” After retirement from active competition, he spent several years running Mike Sharpe’s School of Pro Wrestling in New Jersey. A back injury and other health issues left him wheelchair bound since 2007.
