Former ROH and TNA champion Austin Aries will be in Pittsburgh this week and will undergo WWE’s medical screening process while he’s there, according to PWInsider.
Aries first met with WWE officials backstage at an NXT taping in Florida several months ago. This is the first time since then that there has been talk of Aries possibly joining the company. PWInsider reports that while nothing is signed yet, the two sides are in talks.
Austin Aries’ TNA contract expired on June 28, 2015. He remained on TNA TV until the fall due to how far in advance Impact was taped.
