– No word yet on how Shinsuke Nakamura’s WWE Performance Center visit went late last week but he also did WWE medical testing in Pittsburgh. Regarding what might happen if for some reason Nakamura didn’t pass the tests and couldn’t be signed, which has happened with talents in the past, speculation is that they would just bring him in for the one match that’s already announced, against Sami Zayn at NXT “Takeover: Dallas” during WrestleMania 32 weekend, and have him lose.
As we’ve seen in the past with talents like Willie Mack and Nigel McGuinness, nothing is 100% official until the ink is on the contract. However, WWE must be confident that Nakamura will pass the tests because they did go ahead and announce the match.
Nakamura has not moved to the United States yet but obviously will when and if he signs.
