Despite speculation on the web, it sounds like Rey Mysterio will not legally be able to appear at WrestleMania in April. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Mysterio is currently committed to two-seasons with Lucha Underground, and he would have to breach his contract in order to go back to WWE.
Mysterio’s current contract with Lucha Underground expires in the summer of 2017, and has options to extend it from two seasons to four.
Mysterio has reportedly been paid the money owed to him by AAA. As previously noted, Mysterio stopped working for AAA because of what he perceives as “shady” business practices.
