– Naomi recently wrote a special blog on Black History Month for WWE Community. You can check it out at this link. Here’s part of what she wrote:
“While I am proud to represent black women, my role as a Diva and an athlete is to be an empowering voice for women, period. Regardless of race, we all want the same things: love, respect and our individuality. My hope for the future is that, by loving what makes each of us different, we will learn to celebrate the diversity of those around us. There’s no better time than now to look in the mirror, find what we love about the reflection staring back and widen the lens through which we view each other.”
– As noted, The Great Khali was reportedly hospitalized and admitted into ICU after being beat with chairs and punches by “three foreign fighters” during a wrestling match at the first event of “The Great Khali Wrestling Show” in India earlier this week. India.com has more details on what happened and they are not treating it like an angle. They claim Khali has head injuries and needed 7 stitches to close a wound. He also complained of back and chest pains. Khali was later moved to another hospital for a CT scan and treatment for chest injuries. Khali told the site that he’s recovering well and will get revenge on his opponents. Below is video from the match and the beatdown angle:
