WWE referee Charles Robinson has issued a brief statement regarding his shouting match last night with Chris Jericho on RAW.
For those who missed it, Neville was injured (fractured ankle) during his match with Jericho. Being the veteran that he is, Jericho called an audible and attempted to pin Neville with a roll-up pin to end the match. Charles Robinson, not realizing Neville was hurt, only counted two. Jericho stood up and got in Robinson’s face and yelled, “He’s hurt!” before shoving him.
Robinson called for the DQ and the two had a big shouting match. Jericho repeatedly told Robinson, “He’s hurt, he hurt his ankle, I told you that.” Robinson replied, “Don’t f*cking touch me, I didn’t hear you. Don’t f*cking touch me.”
Robinson tweeted the following on Tuesday afternoon apologizing for his conduct:
I think during the heat of the moment during @IAmJericho @WWENeville match on Raw I said a really bad word. I sincerely apologize. Guilty.
