Last week TMZ reported that Sting would be retiring due to his neck injury from September, but the former WCW World Champion says his dream isn’t dead yet. In an interview with IGN to promote WrestleMania 32, Sting hinted that he is still hopeful of getting a match against The Undertaker.
“Uh, yeah. I’ve been very outspoken about that,” Sting said when asked if he still wants to face Undertaker. “Still a dream of mine.”
Sting suffered significant injuries during his match against Seth Rollins back at Night of Champions, but maintains that his dream to face The Undertaker lives on.
“[Retiring] is one of those rumors floating around, yes,” Sting continued, “TMZ put something out and, again, I still have a dream inside of me. And it’s not dead yet.”
Sting will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame on April 2nd, the day before WrestleMania 32.
