LaQuan McGowan, a 6’7″, 410-pound tight end from Baylor University who gained notoriety by springing for an 18-yard touchdown in the Cotton Bowl two seasons ago, is planning for his future after football. McGown says he plans on exploring his job options with WWE after his NFL days are over. McGowan plans on being drafted by the NFL this year, but acknowledged in an interview with SB Nation that players of his size usually don’t have lengthy gridiron careers.

“I feel like once that’s over with, the WWE is calling my name,” McGowan said. “I’ve watched it on TV. I’ve thought about, ‘What would be something good or something that I would enjoy doing for a decent, for a long period of time?’ For big guys in the NFL, they really don’t last that long.”

Some of the most popular wrestlers in history were former college football players, including Bill Goldberg and The Rock.
