Samoa Joe is your new NXT Champion. Joe defeated Finn Balor on Thursday night NXT’s live event from Lowell, Massachusetts, ending Balor’s 292 day reign.
WWE made a point of mentioning Joe getting the live event title shot on this week’s NXT TV. Prior to the match, fans in attendance were tweeting that WWE had television cameras set up at the show, leading to speculation that there could be a title change.
