As noted earlier, Samoa Joe defeated Finn Balor at a live NXT event in Massachusetts on Thursday, ending Balor’s 292-day streak as NXT Champion. Balor appeared to be selling an injury during the match, and more than one live report said it looked like Balor was saying goodbye to the fans as he made his exit, fueling speculation that he’ll be joining the main WWE roster soon. Kevin Owens added to the speculation, writing on Twitter that he would see Balor soon.
