ProWrestlingSheet is reporting that an almost three year old lawsuit against John Cena was dismissed three weeks ago. Cena had been sued by Dale Ducharme, a contractor working on his home, who claimed that in 2010, he was working on remodeling Cena’s home, fell off “defective scaffolding,” and was injured in the process. Ducharme was asking for over $15,000 in medical bills, lost wages, and so on.

According to the Final Summary Judgment In Favor of Defendant John Cena by Circuit Judge Linda H. Babb in Pasco County, Florida:

“The Court finds there is no evidence showing the subject scaffold was defective either in workmanship or use.”
“The Court further finds Defendant, John Cena, did not know nor have reason to know of the alleged defective condition of the scaffold.”
“The issue of Plaintiff’s employment status at the time of the incident is MOOT.”

According to other court records, Cena was not home on the day of the incident, where bends in the metal caused the scaffolding to collapse.
