After reportedly leaving TNA over a financial dispute, their former World Champion Eric Young made his NXT debut at last week’s TV tapings. Young’s first match aired on the May 4th edition of NXT, when he lost to current NXT Champion and fellow former TNA Champion Samoa Joe.
PWInsider reports that despite appearing on the WWE Network, Young has not yet signed a contract with the company. Young reportedly is expected to sign with the company soon and will join the NXT roster.
After being with TNA since 2004, Young asked for his release from the company in March of 2016. PWTorch.com reported that Young and Bobby Roode, who had also been with the company since 2004, asked for raises and were denied. A report came out in April claiming that the two were owed over six-figures by TNA at the time they left the company.
