There have been several accounts from the MMA world that say while CM Punk is a hard worker, he’s not progressing well as a fighter. There have been lots of rumors coming out of Punk’s live sparring sessions at the gym but the one thing that has been consistent is that he has not fared well.
After originally wanting Punk to debut in the summer/fall of 2015, then UFC 199 in June, there’s still no word yet on when he will make his first fight. The Observer also notes there’s a general feeling that scheduled opponent Mikey Gall will “run through” Punk, who has had to delay his training due to injuries and the way he adapted to MMA.
