Former WWE Head of Talent Relations Jim Ross believes that Brock Lesnar will fight again for the UFC. In his latest blog entry, J.R. predicts that the WWE star will step into the octagon again — as long as it’s not near WrestleMania. Ross advised WWE to keep any subsequent fights for Brock away from WrestleMania season, but still feels that more deals with UFC can and “likely will” be made.
“I’d be shocked to hear that Lesnar was not going to fight again in the UFC,” Ross wrote. “There are too many winners in this formula notwithstanding it creates a significant new, payday for Lesnar which keeps him happy, gets WWE a ton of global media stretch plus it creates a potential, organic storyline for WWE to utilize for Brock’s next WWE event after said UFC fight.”
Ross also talked about the recent sale of the UFC, calling it an “amazing story of success” and noting that they had bought the UFC for $2M and sold it for $4B. Ross sad that Dana White would be “revered” within in the world of sports business.
