- As previously noted, Paul Heyman’s contract with WWE has expired and the two sides have not reached an agreement for a renewal yet. According to ProWrestlingSheet.com, Heyman's contract expired in May and the holdup is over Heyman's various outside projects including a distribution deal with Yahoo Sports.
Despite the delay, it's expected that Heyman and WWE will reach an agreement soon and that he will still be appearing at Summerslam in the corner of Brock Lesnar.
- During an interview on NBC's Meet The Press, Donald Trump was asked about his Undertaker-like Republican National Convention entrance on Monday. Host Chuck Todd brought up how he didn't think he had seen something like that before, even in WWE. Here was Trump's response:
"Yeah, I know. Well, Vincent's a good friend of mine. He called me, he said, 'That was a very, very good entrance.' But I didn't want to do it a second time, because, you know, it never works out the second time."
